Public Webinar, June 15 at 10am CET
- What impact can city-wide strategic approaches have?
Whilst food and farming contributes between a third and a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions, it has featured relatively little within international and national commitments to tackling the climate and nature emergency thus far. Recent years have seen cities stepping up to see how they can take action, and where strategic buy-in to commitments can lead to policy and practical change. With both the UN Food Systems Summit as well COP26 taking place in 2021, food and climate change will be pushed to the forefront of agendas.
In this webinar, we’ll hear from key cities on how they are addressing climate change through action on food, and how this links with the upcoming international summits.
As FoodSHIFT aims to help lead a shift towards more plant-based, resilient and localized food systems, this webinar can shine a light on leaders in this area, both from within our own project and beyond, as well as inspire more cities to take part in food-related climate action in 2021.?
