Maker Faire Barcelona is back! On July 1 & 2 the sixth edition of Maker Faire Barcelona brings together local and international Makers again!
Food is a basic need, fundamental to people’s lives and the way we obtain, distribute and consume food is key to our health and the health of our planet, which is why the involvement of each and every one of us is so important.
And to talk about this important topic we invite you to join us on the 1st of July for the talk “Citizens at the center of food systems”, a dialogue between the city council (Department of ajuntament politicas alimentarias) and private civic initiative on the food and sustainability challenges facing Barcelona and how we can all move forward together towards a sustainable food future.
After the talk we will continue our conversation with an outdoor picnic in the Jardins de Mercè Plantada where innovators from the European project Foodshift 2030 will show us how to move from theory to practice in our involvement as citizens in the sustainable food process.

For the talks and workshops at Fab Lab Barcelona registration is not necessary. The workshops have limited capacity and attendance will be on a first come-first serve basis.
